Day 2

We were ready to go on Friday! We got an early start and met at the park at the opening time of 8 am! We headed straight to Fantasy Land and Peter Pan was our first ride of the day! Olivia hid her eyes the whole time! Isabella was open eyed watching everything, taking it all in! Olivia went on Dumbo with my mom while we waited in line for Peter Pan and she hid her eyes on that ride, too! We also did the Carousel, Casey Jr., Storybook Boat, Tea Cups, Alice in Wonderland, and then we headed off to Toon Town! Then it was off to Space Mountain for the adults, while my mom sat with the kids and gave them some popcorn. We then went on the Haunted Mansion, which has been transformed into Holiday Haunted Mansion, and we saw Jack and Sally out front! The line to see them was so long, that the Cast Member told us that we would have to get in line at least 15 minutes before Jack and Sally were scheduled to appear next! Both Olivia and Isabella fell asleep on Haunted Mansion! After Haunted Mansion, Chris took Rebecca on Winnie the Pooh! Then it was back to the hotel to get ready for Trick or Treating!

Naptime!
Rebecca REALLY wanted to go to Build A Bear at Downtown Disney. Each girl made their own stuffed animal as their Disney souvenier. Rebecca made a rabbit named Hoppy, Isabella made a velvet bear named Bellie Boo Bear, and Olivia made a pink teddy with white hearts named Marie. Rebecca picked out a Princess Jasmine outfit for Hoppy and Olivia picked out a Tinkerbell outfit for Marie.

Trick or Treating

The main reason we went down to Disneyland in October was to Trick or Treat at California Adventure! We did this a couple of years ago, when Rebecca was 4 and Olivia was 6 months old. It was so fun the first time, that we decided to do it again! The park is only open to those who have a ticket. Everyone is dressed up, even adults! The characters are all dressed up as well! The girls were all Tinkerbell and Rebecca had light up wings. There are candy stations all around the park, and you "trick-or-treat"! All the rides are running, too! It's amazing how fast after closing the park, they can transform it into a Halloween Spootakular! Even the roller coaster behind us, has a giant pumpkin lit up on it! There are cobweb lights on all the buildings, too!

Here is everyone dressed up!
When we would see this Mickey head you knew there was a trick or treat stand next to it!
The girls excited because they just got some candy!

Day 3

Day 3, we decided to meet in front of California Adventure and go into that park for the day. The girls all wore their Daisy Duck shirts. It was a little windy and chilly, but not too cold! For the people who live in Anaheim, it was "freezing!" and they wore their jeans, long shirts, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves.....Jon and Amy....not that I am naming names! Jon and Amy had the last laugh, though, when at 6 pm, I was saying how freezing I was! LOL! We had a great day at California Adventure. Regina met up with us and spent part of the day in the park with us. The kids had a blast over in Bugs Life Land. We got to see the new Play House Disney show, and that was pretty entertaining. We also got to ride the new Toy Story Mania ride, and that was REALLY fun and worth the wait! Rebecca did the Jumping Jelly Fish ride. Richard tried to convince me that I should ride the Maliboomer....Chris and Jon went on that instead. The kids played at the Redwood Challenge for a really long time! We caught the end of the Brother Bear show, went on Monsters Inc., and Soaring Over California (always a favorite)! After a long day, we headed over to Disneyland to take the kids to the Tiki Room. It was poorly planned timing, because we had to wait for the parade to end to even attempt to get out on the sidewalk with our strollers! The kids all loved the Tiki Room! Then we headed back to the hotel to put the kids to bed. Mom watched the girls while Chris and I met up with Richard and Heather to go back to Disneyland for more rides. We were back to the hotel by 11:30 pm!

Chip and Dale were Olivia and Isabella's favorite characters!

This is a Disneyland kitten! We found it over in the garden of Bugs Life Land. Amy says that there are lots of "Disneyland Cats".

While Chris, Richard, Heather and I were waiting to get on Big Thunder Railroad, the fireworks started going off! It was so fun to ride the ride and watch the fireworks at the same time!

Last Day and the Princesses

Sunday, was our last day. We went into the park for "a couple of hours" to just do a couple of more things. Chris and Rebecca waited in line for Finding Nemo, while Mom, Amy, Olivia, Isabella, and I went on the Carousel, the Casey Jr. Train, and the Teacups! The Teacups were Olivia's favorite ride! Funny for a little girl that gets car sick so easily!
We also went on Autopia, the train ride around the Magic Kingdom, and then we waited in line to see the Princesses in the Princess walk! Before we left, we ate hot dogs on Main Street and watched the English Toffee being made at the candy shop!

Jon and Amy

I have to add a special little post to Jon and Amy. It has been almost 17 months since my kids have last seen Jon and Amy! Amy is Rebecca's idol! She has always had a special place for Amy in her heart. Rebecca told me that when she's bigger she wants to work at the candy shop in Disneyland like Amy! It was so fun to go to Disneyland with Jon and Amy. I knew that Rebecca would be excited to see Uncle Jon and Aunt Amy....but by the end of the trip, we had to "peel" Olivia off of Amy! Olivia fell in love with Amy on this trip, too! My girls were stuck like glue to Amy! She is so sweet and special to my girls :) And we love her and miss her already! Thanks Jon and Amy for making the girls' trip to Disneyland so special and memorable!
