Sunny Day and The Garden

We finally had a sunny day and it wasn't too wet outside, so the girls got to play!! They have been going stir crazy in the house while it's been raining! They ate popcorn at their table, and ran aound the yard. Our garden is growing wonderfully thanks to all the rain and the sun. My Sweet Peas and Sugar Snap Peas started blooming!!! They are so pretty! We also have onions and potatoes growing as well!

Bellie's 1st Hair Cut!!!

Isabella's hair has been getting long and has been growing fast! Today, I decided that she needed to get a hair cut. We called up Lynn and took her to Lollipop Cuts. Bellie was not too sure about sitting in the car to get her hair cut! She was crying and trying to climb out! Lynn distracted her with a Little Einsteins movie, a lollipop, and bubbles! By the end, Bellie gave me a couple of smiles, and she looks so cute with her new short hair and bangs!!! Her hair cut looks like her Aunt Amy's! We got a certificate for her first hair cut and we also got a lock of her hair put into a little envelope to put in her baby book!

Rainy Day Projects

The girls spent most of the day working on their arts and crafts project that my mom got them. Olivia worked on making some lambs for Easter, and Rebecca spent most of the day working on her Easter House. By the end of the day, all the projects were complete! Olivia impressed me because she was pretty good about using the glue all by herself! She was even able to look at the picture to see how all the piece were glued together!

Chris Turns 30!

Chris is finally 30! Wow! He celebrated the night before with his friend, Richard. They went out "to do some work"....I didn't know that they had work to do at the casino...They had a good time, though! It was pouring rain on Chris' birthday, and we took his car up to Bob's to get an oil change and have the brakes inspected. We went to dinner at On the Boarder and came back to our house for cake and ice cream! To celebrate both our birthdays, Chris and I are going to Las Vegas! We've never been there yet, but always wanted to go!

Happy Valentines Day!

The kids had a fun couple of days for Valentines! Rebecca had a class party and Olivia had a class party on Thursday! They were both so full of sugar! Isabella was shy when we went to Ms. Cheryl's house for Olivia's party, but as soon as Miss Kassie said that there were cupcakes, Bellie was at the table in a flash! On Valentines Day, the girls woke up to MORE candy and the Madagascar 2 movie! I got See's candy, and Chris had made all of us Valentines cards! Rebecca was excited to know that her daddy knew how to make cards! For dinner, Chris and I did take out from Black Angus, and the girls had kids meals from Burger King. They were all super excited that the toy in the kids meals were pink Pink Panther sunglasses! Olivia wore hers the whole time she ate, along with the Snow White costume that she also wore all day....

Making our Valentines

We learned how to make these cute "sour cream bags" at our cardmaking class a couple of weeks ago. We thought they would be great to put candy in for the girls' Valentines parties at school. We spent a couple of hours on Sunday finishing them up! We had fun! I cut the paper and Rebecca put the tape on and crimped the bottom edge, then Olivia put the Hershey kisses and hugs in, then Rebecca would crimp the other end! We used all kinds of different Valentines paper, and we had a fun time making them! Bellie on the other hand, would run in, grab a candy from the table as fast as she could and run away!

Free Museum Day

On Saturday, we headed out to Free Museum Day! We have been going for the past 3 years now. It is fun and free! We packed our lunches and went to the Zoo and Fairy Tale Town. Richard and his family met us at the zoo. It was really cold and foggy outside, and when we got to the zoo at 10, they were handing out free popsicles! I passed on them, but the girls and Chris each got one! Nothing like a fudge bar at 10 in the morning! The girls had a blast running around at the zoo and Fair Tale Town. Olivia was excited because she got a key to the informational boxes at the zoo (Rebecca already has one for FTT). Rebecca of course likes the flamingos, Olivia really liked the giraffes, and Isabella liked the monkeys. We ate our lunch at a table near the flamingos, then we headed over to FTT. It was crowded by then, so we still had fun, but there were things that the kids did not get to do, but we can save those things for our next trip to FTT in the summer! It was a great day to spend together as family!
