Fall and the Chipped Tooth

We are so excited that it is finally fall! I love this crisp cool air that we FINALLY have! It is so nice to not have to run the air conditioner, and leave the windows open all day to let the fresh air in the house! The girls were really excited because when we arrived home from Disneyland, a "ghost" had left them treats on the doorstep! We had been "Boo'd"! The "ghost" left some good homemade cookies cooked crisp just like I like them ;) On Wednesday, the girls wore their Halloween outfits. I even did up their hair with their new Halloween hair bands. Both girls got lots of compliments on their hair when they went to school! I think they rather looked cute myself! On Tuesday night, when I was changing Isabella's diaper, I noticed that she had a chipped front tooth! I was horrified wondering what kind of mom I was to not notice that she chipped her tooth until the end of the day! Of course the dentist is closed on Wednesdays, so I called anyway Wednesday morning and was able to get a Thursday appointment. So today, I took Olivia over to Mandy's house so she could play with Ellie while I took Isabella to the dentist. I was so nervous, wondering what would have to be done to Isabella's front tooth. It was not even that bad! We were only there about 5 minutes! If anyone needs a dentist, call Dr. Roullier-Bunz...she's THE BEST dentist EVER! She took one look and feel of the tooth and was able to have it smoothed down in all of 2 seconds! That's pretty impressive with a 17 month old crying and not wanting to open her mouth! Isabella and I went back to Mandy's house and Olivia and Ellie were outside collecting leaves and flowers. They went back inside and made collages with the stuff they had collected outside. We stayed there until we had to get Rebecca from school. Then the girls spent most of the afternoon outside enjoying the nice weather and eating gold fish and tomatoes from the garden.

Off to Disneyland!

This is going to be a series of postings about our trip to Disneyland, with a ton of pictures! This is only some of the pictures, the total count on the way out of the park was 799 pictures! We left for Disneyland on Wednesday after Rebecca got out of school. We drove to Lebec, at the bottom of the Grapevine and stayed at a Ramada Inn. It was REALLY nice! Then on Thursday morning, we drove to Disneyland! We spent Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and part of Sunday at the park. We joined up with Chris's friend Richard, his wife Heather, their son Liam, Heather's mom and dad, Chris's brother Jon, and his wife Amy. We had quite a crowd at Disneyland! The weather was absolutetly perfect and the park was crowded but managable! This was Olivia and Isabella's first trip to Disneyland (Olivia did go when she was 6 months old...but I am sure she can't remember!) Rebecca is a veteran with this being her 5th time to Disneyland! My mom came with us on the trip and she had a great time seeing the kids at Disneyland. We had a great time and have a ton of memories! Here's our Disneyland Vacation Postings!!!
Chris is a great packer of the car! This is all the "stuff" we needed for the 4 day trip...can you believe that there's even a double jogging stroller back there?
If you know Olivia, then you know that she has crazy wild hair! I had to get a shot of her with her hair freshly combed, because as you will later see...the hair gets wild! I made the bows in her hair! I made them the day before we left!
Rebecca taking a picture of a candy corn outside of CA Adventure. We let Rebecca take our old camera to take her own pictures with.
We were in the World of Disney using the restroom, when we ran into Chris's cousin and her family! This is Rebecca's cousin Savannah! We weren't expecting them to be there, we thought they were leaving the day before we got to Disneyland!
She looks so excited to be standing in front of Darth Vader in the Lego store!

We bought the girls cookies to decorate, while they watched the Woody's Round up Show.

Riding on the ship. Isabella was excited to see all the ducks in the water.
We got this cheesecake to share! Jack is made out of pure sugar!

Goofy's Kitchen!

As a surprise for my mom and the kids, we all went to Goofy's Kitchen for lunch! We ate A LOT of yummy food and had a few characters come to our table to visit with the kids! The kids were able to meet Prince Phillip (from Sleeping Beauty), Goofy, Pluto, Princess Jasmine, Baloo, and Olivia and Isabella's favorites: Chip and Dale! Prince Phillip kept calling Isabella Queen. Before we went in to eat, we had our picture taken with Pluto, and Isabella kept rubbing her face against Pluto's nose! The characters put on a little show dancing.

Day 2

We were ready to go on Friday! We got an early start and met at the park at the opening time of 8 am! We headed straight to Fantasy Land and Peter Pan was our first ride of the day! Olivia hid her eyes the whole time! Isabella was open eyed watching everything, taking it all in! Olivia went on Dumbo with my mom while we waited in line for Peter Pan and she hid her eyes on that ride, too! We also did the Carousel, Casey Jr., Storybook Boat, Tea Cups, Alice in Wonderland, and then we headed off to Toon Town! Then it was off to Space Mountain for the adults, while my mom sat with the kids and gave them some popcorn. We then went on the Haunted Mansion, which has been transformed into Holiday Haunted Mansion, and we saw Jack and Sally out front! The line to see them was so long, that the Cast Member told us that we would have to get in line at least 15 minutes before Jack and Sally were scheduled to appear next! Both Olivia and Isabella fell asleep on Haunted Mansion! After Haunted Mansion, Chris took Rebecca on Winnie the Pooh! Then it was back to the hotel to get ready for Trick or Treating!

Rebecca REALLY wanted to go to Build A Bear at Downtown Disney. Each girl made their own stuffed animal as their Disney souvenier. Rebecca made a rabbit named Hoppy, Isabella made a velvet bear named Bellie Boo Bear, and Olivia made a pink teddy with white hearts named Marie. Rebecca picked out a Princess Jasmine outfit for Hoppy and Olivia picked out a Tinkerbell outfit for Marie.

Trick or Treating

The main reason we went down to Disneyland in October was to Trick or Treat at California Adventure! We did this a couple of years ago, when Rebecca was 4 and Olivia was 6 months old. It was so fun the first time, that we decided to do it again! The park is only open to those who have a ticket. Everyone is dressed up, even adults! The characters are all dressed up as well! The girls were all Tinkerbell and Rebecca had light up wings. There are candy stations all around the park, and you "trick-or-treat"! All the rides are running, too! It's amazing how fast after closing the park, they can transform it into a Halloween Spootakular! Even the roller coaster behind us, has a giant pumpkin lit up on it! There are cobweb lights on all the buildings, too!

Here is everyone dressed up!
When we would see this Mickey head you knew there was a trick or treat stand next to it!
The girls excited because they just got some candy!
