Thanksgiving Pageant

Today was the Thanksgiving Pageant that Rebecca's class was putting on! What an event! It was GREAT! All the kids did a wonderful job and she has the BEST teacher to put on such a pageant! The kids were broken down into 2 groups of Pilgrims and Indians, and Rebecca was an Indian! The kids had on their costumes that consisted of pieces they had made, and parts that were already made. We, as a whole group sang songs like "Over the Mountain and Through the Woods", we ate a Thanksgiving Day feast with turkey, ham, and all the fixings! The kids sang a couple more songs on stage, each one of them introduced themselves and told us what they were thankful for, and then they told us about the Pilgrims, the Indians, and the Mayflower. It was so fun, and the kids really had a good time, while learning about history! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rebecca's teacher this year. She is truly lucky to have such a wonderful teacher. We had the pleasure of sitting next to her teacher's mother and daughter, and what a great group of gals! The time and dedication that Rebecca's teacher put into this pageant, is truly amazing! The kids also had on display all of their Thanksgiving artwork! Which was really neat to look at! There were over 80 people at the pageant in the audience! Even the Principal was there! What a fun way to start the Thanksgiving Holiday break!

Rebecca was thankful for Turkey because we can eat them!

Rebecca the Turkey!
These were the place cards, so we knew where to sit!
