Rebecca has been looking forward to being the Star Student since the first week of First Grade! Finally, on April 20th, it was her week! She was so excited! She got to make a poster about her favorite things, and also include some pictures. Rebecca's favorite animal is a hamster, her favorite food is ribs, she likes to play Wii, and she is very helpful to others! She got to bring a bag of things to share with the class, she chose a River Cats baseball that was hit in the playoffs last year, her pink River Cats baseball hat, her Nightmare Before Christmas Purse that Aunt Amy got her, and the nesting doll set that her Uncle Doug brought her back from Poland. Rebecca used the microphone to tell the class all about her poster. At the end of her poster presentation, I got to read the class the book "Miss Nelson is Missing". What a fun time I had with the First Grade Kangaroo Class! It's hard for me to believe that Rebecca is almost ending her First Grade year and is ready to move into Second Grade! Seems like just yesterday, she was starting Kindergarten! Rebecca is an great reader, and very good at math. She has a lot of friends, and is very kind and thoughtful. Her teacher tells us that she is very helpful not only to the other students but to her teacher as well! I am so excited about the wonderful young lady that she is becoming!
