Cutting Our Christmas Trees!

I did not do my "normal" thing and cut our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving day! I actually waited until the 6th of December! Which for me, is SO unlike me! Rebecca and Olivia picked out their tree first and they both helped Chris cut it down! Rebecca is so strong, that she did not need a cart to pull it back down the hill...she carried it with both her hands! What a strong girl! So I gave Olivia a ride down the hill in the cart! Chris and I then went back up the hill and up a couple more hills to find our tree, which of couse was the first tree I saw that Chris told me was too big! Well, it was too big, but after a few minor adjustments, it fits in the house just fine! I have to say it is probably the most beautiful tree we have had! I am so happy that we have a family tradition of cutting down our trees, and that the girls got a chance this year to help cut down their own tree. Did I mention that I cut down our big tree??? It was a breeze!!! Ha ha! I kept asking Chris "Are you pushing the tree yet? I keep cutting and it's not going down!" Fun times!As you can see, the day started out really foggy and it was FREEZING cold all day! What a difference from last weekend!
