We took our Second Annual "San Fransisco Zoo Trip the Weekend Before School Starts" outing today! Last year we went with my dad and mom, and this year mom joined us. With the end of summer vacation near the end (tomorrow!), the San Fransisco Zoo is a nice end to the summer. The kids were looking forward to the zoo. Rebecca was hoping that she would see flamingos and ant eaters! She got to see her flamingos, and she saw 3 ant eaters! Olivia wanted to see cows, monkeys, and giraffes. She saw LOTS of monkeys, and she saw the giraffes. She was especially impressed becuase there was a baby giraffe. She kept telling us that the giraffe was looking for it's mommy. Isabella liked the Gorillas! She just kept pointing and smiling at them. Olivia loved the lions, too! Rebecca and Olivia got to watch the bown bears swim and wrestle. They thought that the penguins were silly the way they were "talking". We got to watch the polar bears get fed fish. This was the first long car ride, and day away from home, since Olivia's been potty trained! She did an excellent job of telling us when she had to use the bathroom! The girls ended their trip with a carousel ride and a trip to the souveneir shop, where they both got a purse with a stuffed animal. What a GREAT day!
